Wolf 220 BAR Review
I have to say i think this model is hard to beat if you are looking for something that will tackle pretty much anything you can throw at it with out breaking the bank. If you won’t be using it very often but need a lot of power on the few occasions you need it then look no further.
If you are buying a model that you want to keep in the garage for years to come and not have to worry about buying another, again this is the model for you. Those unexpected tasks that crop up will be no match for the supreme 3200psi pressure.
Features Of The Wolf 220 Bar Pressure Washer
I think you can see that we like this pressure washer but let’s get into the detail to see if it really is suited to you.
Motor
The motor is a very powerful 7hp petrol model. More than enough power for prolonged use at high pressures.
3200 PSI Maximum Pressure
Delivering a whopping maximum pressure of 3200 psi or 220 bar for short bursts will mean even the toughest jobs can be dealt with. It also means running at a lower but still very high psi for long periods will be no problem. This is ideal for constant use or particularly tough jobs.
Flow Rate of 540 Litres Per Hour
This is a lot of water for rinsing down some really mucky areas like muddy yards or big patios that have been left for a while.
Detergent Bottle
A standard feature nowadays but still handy. Fill it up before you start the job and you are away. This model also come with a detergent nozzle to distribute the detergent before you clean it all down.
Five Nozzles Included
The nozzle set included is impressive. It includes a pencil jet nozzle for cutting though the the toughest jobs like graffiti. The detergent nozzle is good for fast vehicle cleaning and there are three other angled nozzles for covering a full range of cleaning jobs.
Okay, so there are a couple of downside to this model that need to be considered.
Size and Weight
This is a pretty big pressure washer. The size of the frame and motor mean it is not going to be the easiest to move around. If you need to lift it up and down steps or ledges then it is going to take some muscle power as it weighs 37kg.
To compensate for this Wolf have fitted pneumatic tyres to soak up the bumps and built the motor onto a well balanced steel frame. Moving it around on the wheels will feel pretty easy.
Storing it will not be as easy as some of the compact models like the Wolf 200 Bar, the frame is longer to cater for the larger motor. Check you have plenty of space before you buy.
A small point but it needs to be mentioned. The hose is only 6 metres long. This will still give you plenty of reach but some models like the Draper PPW650 offer a longer hose at 8m. Personally i don’t think it’s too major an issue but one to think about.
What The Owners Think
Looking around at other people thoughts on this model and it is pretty clear that the Wolf 3200psi is very popular and a great by. Below are some of the comments from passed customers:
Easy To Start
A number of people have found it easy to start. The pull cord is not stiff and the motor will be up and running within a few pulls.
A Bit On The Heavy Side
Something we picked up on as well. This is heavy but it’s a trade off between weight and power. I think it’s well worth the extra weight but make sure you seriously consider this.
Great Product
Many people are very pleased with every aspect of the Wolf 220 Bar. Quick to set up with plenty of nozzles for all jobs. Can’t say any more than that!
Summing It Up
Wolf petrol jet washers in general are great value and are becoming very popular which gives some good credibility to a relatively unknown brand. This model really sets them apart with brilliant value for money, true high power cleaning and fantastic customer reviews. I think this is possibly the best value washer we have reviewed.
The only thing to consider is that it is a big unit. This is only a down side if you don’t have the space. Other then that it has all of the features needed for a heavy duty petrol pressure washer. To be honest we don’t see a great deal of downside. Very highly recommended.
