The TX850 is the most powerful pressure washer we have reviewed on the site so far. If you need a powerful cleaner, this is one to look at. If you are looking for occasional use or small jobs this is probably over kill and quite expensive.
For land owners or commercial vehicle owners where there is a lot of regular cleaning and long jobs the Wilks USA TX850 could be the perfect one for you.
If you are considering purchasing the TX850 make sure that you factor in the amount of storage space you are going to need to store it. With all of that power comes a lot of qeight and size. It won’t be easy to drag and pull it around into a tight space, it will need to be wheeled into storage.

Pressure Level 3600PSI (240 Bar)
The TX850 is built for the toughest cleaning jobs. Producing some very serious continuous cleaning pressure of 3600PSI or 240 Bar with a maximum cleaning power of a whopping 4800 PSI for short bursts. Throwing out a flow rate of 14 litres per minute this uses a serious amount of water which you will need to supply to the pump.
Long 20m Hose
To help with cleaning really large areas a 65 foot (20 Metre) hose is supplied. You will be hard pushed to find a hose of this length when you are looking at other models. If you need a really long hose then factor in the cost of purchasing one with another model as it may make more sense to step up to this model for the extra few pounds.
15HP Petrol Engine
This is a very powerful engine which supplies the pump with the power to produce such high pressures. This 4 stroke unit will not have to work quite as hard as some of the 8hp jet washers. This engine is built to take on long jobs and will run for long periods of time.
Four Wheels
The robust chassis and heavy motor are supported by 4 wheels with pneumatic tyres. This is a heavy and large cleaner that needs to be wheeled around easily. Don’t expect to be carrying this model up and down stairs or lifting it through tight spaces.
Hot Water
The maximum temperature this will put out is 50 degrees which is plenty hot enough for removing some tough grime.

One Year Warranty
The TX850 only comes with a one year warranty. This is pretty standard but compared to the Hyundai range it is not great as they come with a three year warranty. This is an pretty big investment so I think Wilks could offer more on this.

Owners Views
Having looked around at other some owners points of view there are 2 consistent themes that shine through. This model has unparalleled power compared to many other petrol pressure washers especially for the money. It’s a real time saver, being able to pump out so much water at a massive pressure cuts washing time a lot. Very useful if you are cleaning for a living, less time doing a job will end up with more money.
Summing Up
There is no doubt this is a great pressure washer with many benefits. But think very carefully about your intended usage. It is not for everyone and cannot be maneuvered as well as some of the smaller models. Saying that for big jobs it is perfect. combine the power with the cost and we think it is great value for money.
