The Hyundai HYW3100P2 Review
This is a brilliant robust pressure washer that not only delivers in flow rate and cleaning power but also boasts robust build quality. This is built to last many years and clean pretty much anything you put in front of it.
This is a pretty versatile petrol jet washer that is suitable for home use if you have a lot of cleaning requirements or profesional cleaners. Decking, patios, cars and walls are not an issue.
I would say if you are looking for a petrol pressure washer to wash the car once in a while then this model may be a bit on the expensive side. Saying that, if you buy this, the HYW3100P2 won’t let you down if a unexpected job pops up.
Portability
Moving the Hyundai HYW3100P2 around has been carefully considered. Weighing in at 38 kilos it is pretty heavy. The frame is well balanced and the wheels have chunky pneumatic tyres making it easy to wheel around. If you have a lot of land or a big distance between jobs make sure you consider this model. Some of the cheaper models don’t have pneumatic tyres, just hard wheels. It makes a very big difference!
3 Year Warranty
The HYW3100P2 comes with a 3 year Hyundai warranty which means you can be sure that you are buying a quality product. These are expensive investments and a few repair bills can really add up. This should ease that worry.
One thing to remember is that it is sold with a 1 year warranty. To get the 3 year warranty you need to register the pressure washer with Hyundai within 30 days of purchase. Not something you want to forget!
Spare Parts
There is no two ways about it, buying from a big brand like Hyundai means you are going to have a much easier time sourcing spare parts. Many petrol pressure washers are built by smaller niche brands which can make it harder to fix. Even though these are built to last there will be times when they need repairing or servicing. They work very hard on big jobs so spare parts is a big consideration.
The Pump
The pump delivering the 3100psi pressure is an Annovi Reverberi pump. These pumps are built to last an easily servicable.
The pump is powered by a 212cc 4 stroke engine that takes unleaded fuel. This is plenty of power to deliver the large flow rate that the Hyundai HYW3100P2 delivers.
The flow rate of 10 litres per minute water delivery gives plenty of water to wash down grimey surfaces. This is great but make sure you have a water source that can supply enough water to to the pump. Your water can be taken from the mains or gravity fed.
Included Accessories
There are a number of accessories included to make various cleaning jobs easier. Sometimes it’s not all about how much pressure the pump delivers! Included are:
- A 10 meter hose which is ample to move around some pretty big surface areas.
- A set of 4 nozzles (0, 14 and 40 degrees and a soap nozzle)
- A turbo nozzle to help get through the toughest jobs
To sum it up this is a great all rounder but a little expensive for the occasional user. If you are hiring a pressure washer a couple of times a year it could be worth this investment though. If you like the look of this washer and the Hyundai brand but are not sure about the cost it is worth looking at the model.
