Now we are going to have a look at the comprehensive range of jet washers offered by Briggs and Stratton. The range covers all the needs of from home use through to commercial jet washing.
Elite 2500
This model is the entry level model is designed for home use and regular domestic chores that need a powerful cleaner. Capable of quickly cleaning large patios and vehicles with ease. This is a fantastic buy that will last a very long time and not let you down.
The 675Ex Series 190 cc engine delivers plenty of reliable power for large domestic jobs. One great thing about these engines is that they are relatively quiet compared to some of the cheaper alternatives out there. This is something to think about if you are stood next to it for long period of time.
With a max psi 172 and flow rate of 522 this delivers plenty of power for tough cleaning jobs and rinsing down as you go. Four nozzles are supplied with the Elite 2500 enabling you to clean larger areas with the wider nozzles to pin point cleaning with the narrow nozzles.
For absolute peace of mind there is a 2 year Briggs and Stratton Warranty in case anything does go wrong. Combine this with the ease of getting spare parts it is really worth having.
Elite 3000 max PSI 207 Bar
Stepping up the residential pressure washer range the Elite 300 jet washer offers a step up form the Elite 2500 in a number of areas. Designed for similar task but with a but more power and robust feature. With a max pressure of 3200 psi and 207 bar not much dirt is going to beat it.
It is still a very affordable pressure washer at under £400 and will out last most electric pressure washers by a long way. The extra bit of power and flow rate will make cleaning tasks that bit easier and quicker than the Elite 2500. The engine power is stepped up to 209cc from 190cc to give an edge on performance.
In terms of portability it is mid weight jet washer at 33 kilos. The robust frame and wheels will make it easy to move around challenging surfaces. This model is a good option if you need something that need to be portable and easy to store but will be moved around a lot. Some of the bigger models are really heavy. This a good all rounder.
Elite 3200 max PSI 207 Bar
The Elite 3200 is quite an expensive pressure washer but it built to last with a tough steel frame and large wheels for easy moving around bumpy areas. If it is just cleaning power you need around the home it may ber worth looking below at the Elite 322Q which is cheaper but has roughly the same power.
The model comes with 5 nozzles as opposed to four on a lot of the other models. One for applying detergent than 4 four different width of jet from accurate high power cleaning (0 degrees) to a wider spray (45 degrees).
The engine on this is the Briggs and Stratton CR950 208cc, this provides a little extra flow rate than the 3200q. This engine is a step up form the others and with a brass pump head on the Axial Cam Annovi Reverberi pump gives more all round quality and durability.
If your budget will stretch to this then it is a good buy and will last. For a lot of us stepping up to over £500 is a lot to ask but you are paying for extra quality. In the ;pong eun it would be a good buy.
One thing to mention is that this is pretty heavy at 42 kilos. The extra quality bits do add to the weight so worth bearing in mind. With a four star Amazon rating at the time of writing, it’s hard to ignore this model.
Elite 3200Q 3200 max PSI 220 Bar
This model offers great value for money. It gives the same power as the the Elite 3200 but is less robust in terms of the frame and wheels. Ideal for around the home but may be a little tougher to move around bumpy terrain such as fields and building sites.
This model is considerably lighter then the Elite 3200. It weigh2 26 kilos compared to 42 kilos which is going to make it easy to lift and move about in tight spaces. If you need one of a boat or moving around large vehicles this could be a great option.
The flow rate of 613 litres per hour or plenty for good rinsing and the detergent injection will help on big cleaning jobs. It only comes with the four nozzles for different cleaning angles not the detergent nozzle that comes with some other models.
Storage of this model is pretty easy as it is still a fairly small unit for the power, the handle can be folded down as well .
The 3 litre fuel tank and nine metre hose make it nice and easy to quickly clean large areas with very little fuss. You won’t have to keep going back to top it up with petrol or move the main unit around a lot.
All in all this jet washer has a lot of power for the money. It’s light and easy to manoeuvre but won’t be quite as good over very rugged surfaces. Amazon reviews show there are a lot of happy customers out there. Customers have mentioned the great build quality, great cleaning power and robust engines.
Elite 3400 PSI/234 Bar
If you are looking for an all round cleaner that will do anything that you can throw at it around the home then this is a great option. Still easy to manoeuvre and store but providing a more cleaning power and flow rate then the other models that we have reviewed.
With a whopping max pressure of 3400 psi or 234 bar, this will tackle some very tricky to remove areas of dirt as well as having a large flow rate of 636 litres per hour which will enable you to clean and rinse large areas such as drive ways. 4 nozzles are supplied with the cleaner to allow a wide range of cleaning from small hard to shift areas to wide areas and the detergent injection system allows you to add soap to help with cleaning.
The nine metre hose gives you a big radius to work in when you are cleaning large areas, this means you won’t have to keep going back to the main unit and moving it. Moving the Briggs and Stratton Elite 3400 petrol pressure washer is no issue as it has 10 inch wheels with robust tyres to assist getting over any lumps and bumps. Weighing in at 42 kilos is pretty heavy compared to the other models.
This model is built to last regular use. The Annovi Reverberi axial cam pump provides high quality performance and longevity. The engine is a very powerful 250cc that can give out a lot of power for long periods of time.
All of this also comes with the 2 year warranty. This is a pretty expensive jet washer moving up towards the £1,000 mark. If you have the budget then this could be a great buy for you.
